Music Together® Guitar for Grownups is designed for parents and caregivers of children currently enrolled in a Music Together® class. In this 60-minute class, you’ll learn basic guitar technique and selected songs from the current song collection so that you can make even MORE beautiful music at home. Leave the first class able to play a song from your child’s songbook!!!
This class is perfect for
- Beginners who have never held a guitar
- People who know a little guitar
Guitar students must be a parent, caregiver, or family member of child registered in our current term of Music Together classes. Our guitar classes are limited to eight students to provide a relaxed group environment that fosters great relationships and participatory music-making.
Sing and build technique and musicianship in an organic, relaxed way while learning to play Music Together songs on guitar. You’ll go home the first night with a song from your Music Together songbook that you can play and sing with your children. Become your child’s personal rock star and make music with them at home and on the road. And, it’s an enjoyable night out with other parents of small children!
Participants receive a workbook and bring their own guitar, capo, and tuner.
